About Us
- Bobby Hall on guitar, who has been studying classical guitar with the renowned Terry Cantwell for several years.
- Mark Williams on drums and such, with experience all over Middle Georgia (including the Joey Stuckey Band, NorthPoint church of Macon, Bob Cummings band, and others).
- Tom Rule on keys, who’s been playing and teaching music in Macon for a “good while now”, with experience ranging from traditional church music, contemporary church music, the Joey Stuckey Band, the Bob Huellemeir big band, the Grapevine, musicals, weddings, recordings, and such. There’s more info than you probably want to know here and even an online radio station with his music.
What kind of stuff do you do?
Our ever-expanding setlist includes a lot of jazz standards, light classical stuff, and originals that go well with fine food – like at Edgar’s Bistro! See the list below for a sample of what we do.
Why such a weird name?
Mosely Dixon is a road near Macon State College, where Bobby has studied with Terry and Tom teaches. It not only sounds cool, but also gives us a chance to grin when people call us the Mason Dixon project – but that’s something only people from the South would ever do!
Why is it spelled wrong?
We seem to be in opinion territory here. The Post Office & Google list 3 different ways to spell the name of the road; Moseley, Mosely, & Mosley. We picked the version LEAST likely to be mispronounced.
How can I contact you?
Is there a way to abbreviate your name?
Hmmmmmmmm, “The Mosely Dixon Project” – with seven – does have more syllables than are reasonable early in the morning. We call ourselves “MoDiPro” for short.
So what do you play?
Here is part of the constantly changing setlist. We’re working up some Van Morrison & Grateful Dead as well.
